Hyaluronic Acid

Humectant - pulls in water, plumps

What it does

A humectant - it pulls water into the upper layers of skin for a plumper, bouncier look. Also listed as sodium hyaluronate or hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid.

How to use it

Apply to slightly damp skin, then seal with moisturizer. Damp skin is the whole trick - on dry skin in dry air it can leave you feeling tighter.

What not to mix it with

No scheduling enemies in Nitavera's 15 conflict pairs - this one layers easily.

What it gets along with

Layers under or over any active - no pH or oxidation clash with retinoids, vitamin C, acids or anything else on your shelf.
